Course Description: This presentation will provide the basics of connective tissue stains as well as some not so common uses. We will look at images scanned on the Aperio and provided information on tools that can be used that are free or less expensive. 
Presenter Bio: Debra Wood is the histology program director and Clinical Assistant Professor at Indiana University. She is an HT and holds her masters in science. Aside from her work at Indiana, she is an active member of the NSH, serving as a committee chair and is a regular presenter for NSH. Debbie has also won numerous awards including the Leica Leadership in Teaching Award in 2016 and most recently the Lee Luna Foreign Travel scholarship at the 2017 NSH Convention. With this scholarship she will continue her volunteer mission in aiding leprosy patients at the Leprosy Hospital & Health Service Center in Nepal where she plans to set-up a histology lab and train technicians in this region.
